Hello all, Leslie here again. I thought I would share some photos from a French-themed dinner party my roommate Taylor (below) and I hosted for a few friends last month.
The menu:
French baguette with homemade herb butter
Salad of argula, truffle oil, and fleur de sel
Julia Child's famous boeuf bourguignon
Roasted potatoes with Herbes de Provence
Baby asparagus with lemon-infused oil
Chocolate souffle
and beaucoup du vin!
After dinner and a few glasses of wine, we played a parlor game based on the Proust Questionnaire. Guests took turns drawing questions with the option to a.) answer the question or b.) pass the question to another person at the table or c.) make everyone answer. Some sample questions:
In the movie of your life, who would play you?
What is/was your favorite occupation?
What do you appreciate most in your friends?
Sing your favorite song.
What is your greatest extravagance?
When and where were you happiest?
What song would you like to have played at your funeral?
Who or what do you think you may have been in a former life?
