weekend review

Some photos from this last weekend….

My sister and her boyfriend came up and totally took control of the nursery. We cleared it out and it got it all painted. Now it’s ready to decorate and furnish! I am so excited. I am on the hunt for a rug, dresser, and rocker. Once we get the ball rolling a bit I’ll share photos.

This weekend was also quite snow filled. After last week’s blizzard I thought we might be done with snow, but we got over a foot of powder over Saturday and Sunday.  Argos and I met up with friends for a snowshoe on the Superior Hiking Trail. It was the first time I actually needed snowshoes! The snow was so deep and beautiful.

Now that our TV/Computer room is cleared out for the nursery I don’t have a computer so posting will be sparse. I hope to have it set up next week. In the meantime, find me on instagram to see current happenings (username: mossbones).

weekend review

I came down with a pretty bad chest cold Friday forcing me to either be in my bed reading or on the couch watching The Deadliest Catch with Ben. Being sick on top of being pregnant is not fun. It's pretty hard to avoid though when your whole office is sniffling and coughing. You realize one of these days you're next. 

Needless to say I didn't take too many photos. I spent the whole weekend in my pajamas and red slippers and drank bucket loads of water. My new favorite treat is sparkling water with grapefruit slices. It's become my cocktail substitute.

And in crazy news - I saw my midwife on Thursday and she said I am measuring 27 weeks! I thought I was 24 weeks, so this came as a shock to me. I am either having a big baby or I was completely off on when I though conception occurred. I hope it's the later. I know due dates don't really mean much, but right now every week counts since Ben and I are scurrying to get the house done.

This weekend included a lot of lounging and a lot of eating. Friday I had a wonderful dinner at Hanabi with girlfriends. Saturday was spent enjoying the unusually warm weather in Hartley. One of my favorite Duluth Parks. Ben and I have an hour loop we like to hike. It’s nice because it brings me to all my favorite parts including the wide open wetlands in the middle of the woods. I had my work Holiday party which was a total riot. Being stone cold sober watching your fellow co-workers (and bosses) get hammered is actually pretty entertaining. Sunday I was a complete pile from staying up all night with a sick pup so I mostly hungout on the couch reading (Hunger Games anyone?). In honor of the Super Bowl (an excuse to eat terribly good things) Ben and I made Senator Amy Klobuchar’s tater-tot hotdish and watched Downton Abbey. Oh- I also organized all my shoes so not all house productivity was lost.
